Vision, Mission, and Purpose

Vision

Our vision is to see multitudes of people become disciples of Jesus Christ.  We believe this best happens through the Journey.  The Journey seeks to connect a person to Jesus Christ through God’s Word and God’s Spirit.  Our vision is to see countless individuals connected to Jesus in such intimacy that they begin to disciple others, who will disciple others, as others are discipled in the power of the Holy Spirit.  This was Paul’s vision for Timothy (2 Timothy 2:2) and it’s our vision for this ministry.

“…and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” (2 Timothy 2:2 ESV)

Mission

Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ of all nations in the power of the Holy Spirit.  As good soldiers of Jesus Christ we are committed and fixated on this mission.  We are convinced that Jesus Christ is God’s only way of salvation and the best disciple-maker, so our mission is to connect people with Him for these purposes.  We do this by being His representatives to those around us (salvation) and then joining people in the Journey (discipleship).  This is the mission given to us by Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20).

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 ESV)

Purpose

Our purpose is to proclaim Jesus Christ in every sphere of society.  Through the Holy Spirit we proclaim Him by any means possible to transform entire communities, cities, states, and nations by the advancement of His Kingdom.  We do this for the purpose of reconciling every person to God through a relationship with Jesus Christ.  After a person is reconciled to God we disciple them through the Journey to “present them mature” in Christ.  This is the purpose of this ministry according to God’s Word in Colossians 1:28.

“Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.” (Colossians 1:28 ESV)
