Distinctives Of DMM
The church is a living and breathing organism (human being). The church is to be loved, nurtured and matured into the image of Jesus Christ.
The church is to invest in the needs of people, not brick and mortar. (Matthew 25:31-46; 2 Corinthians 8:1-7 (esp. vs. 5), 9:6-15 (esp. vs. 7); James 2:14-20)
The church is to be intentional in disciple-making. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Corinthians 4:15; 1 Peter 2:2-3; 1 John 2:12-14)
The church gatherings are to be participatory. (Acts 2:42-47, 12:12, 15:6; 1 Corinthians 12-14 esp. 14:26; Colossians 3:16-17; Hebrews 10:25)
The church is led by the Holy Spirit who sets the agenda of the gatherings because he has a planned outcome for each person in the gathering. This means complete dependence on the Spirit of God. We are to listen to the Holy Spirit and be obedient to his promptings during the gathering. (Matthew 4:1; John 14:26, 16:13; Luke 12:12; Acts 1:8, 2:1-5, 8:29, 10:19, 11:12, 13:2, 14:28, 20:28, 21:11;Romans 8:14; Hebrews 3:7-8; Revelation 2:7)

The church can meet anywhere, anytime by anyone (Home: Mark 2:1; Marketplace:Mark 2:14; Temple: Mark 3:1; Wilderness: Mark 6:35, 9:2)
The church is to water baptize those who are saved by God as soon as possible. (Acts 2:38-41, 8:26-39, 10:44-48, 16:31-33, 22:12-16; 1 Peter 3:21)
The church leaders are called by God according to scripture, character and qualifications. Most importantly they must be born again of the Spirit of God (Luke 6:31; Philippians 2:3-4; Exodus 18:21; Psalm 78:72; Matthew 20:26; John 3:30; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; 2 Timothy 2:1-13; Titus 1:5-9; Acts 6:1-6; John 1:12-13, 3:1-15)
