I’ve been “in” church my whole life. Sometimes I went more times than others. I had been out of church for a while and God started surrounding me with good Christian influences. God sent a disciple my way and for a couple of years, I reluctantly grew.
He urged me to start the Journey with a small group of my own and I resisted. “I am not a leader,” I said; he said, “You do not lead, the Holy Spirit leads.” I still was not sure. I changed jobs and churches and moved, feeling it was God’s will. I still resisted.
God broke me down every Sunday morning, a normal grown man crying in church because the Lord himself was moving me to start a group at my work. I asked some of my coworkers and they responded “yes” with excitement. After a couple of meetings, they told me they had been praying for a bible study for a couple of years!
That is God’s work! If I, a reluctant Christian can be used by God, so can you. Start the Journey with your family, friends, coworkers, strangers and you and your group will grow in Christ and make other disciples.
